"Last year, the money from the Hall's Foundation helped go towards the cost of fuel when travelling to and from placements, the cost of uniforms. clinical skills equipment such as my stethoscope and, more importantly, the cost of my student accommodation as my student finance loan itself does not cover it - this made it possible for me to live near my Uni.

About the Hall's Foundation

The Hall’s Exhibition Foundation is a charitable trust set up after the closure of the Hall’s Grammar School that used to stand on the upper slope of what is now the Kenside Estate.

It’s aim is to assist in the education of young persons of Snettisham who are aged between 11 and 25 and who have been resident in the village for at least 1 year, by making available grants at different stages of their education.

Although the major amount of money granted is for individual persons, grants are also considered for groups, providing the money is used to benefit those in the age range stated above.

All grants are awarded at the consent of the 10 trustees who manage the Foundation.

The funding of the grants does not come from a limitless pot but is funded from the interest earned on invested capital and on money earned from the quarry in the village.

I'd like to express my great appreciation for the grants you have kindly provided to me throughout my higher education. My sixth form grant was put towards a camera to assist my photography A level for which I achieved a Grade A, this gave me the opportunity to do a Film and Studies course at University which I passed with a 2:1. I couldn't be more grateful for the financial support you gave me as t did take some stress and pressure off my shoulders.
